At Mount Evans we believe in angels. We believe in their power to inspire hope, to give comfort, to lift hearts and to bring peace. We often refer to our devoted staff of nurses and clinicians as angels because they exemplify those very qualities. Mount Evans has also been blessed with a host of community angels, dedicated volunteers and supporters whose good works have helped us provide hope, comfort and peace to families all across the mountain area.
As important as the new pathway will be to folks wishing to honor their nearest and dearest, it will be just as important to the folks at Mount Evans. Every brick purchased, every memory enshrined, will be a small, but important, step toward ensuring that Mount Evans’ crucial services remain available to those who so desperately need them.
From the beginning of this pandemic, Mount Evans nurses’ greatest concern wasn’t for themselves, it was for their patients. They worried about how to continue providing not just medical care, but the extraordinary care that our nurses are known for, it’s what we like to refer to as “loving our patients up.”
Pam’s heart and her creative talents have no bounds. Anyone who has attended the Mount Evans Gala can attest to artistic masterpieces. She was the chair of this year’s decorating committee for the We Heart the 80s Annual Gala.
Judy is part of a specialty team at Mount Evans that cares for mountain residents diagnosed with serious illness who are seeking treatment for a cure or better ways to manage their condition. In other words, patients don’t have to choose between treatment for their illness and palliative care; they can have both.
At Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice, the health and safety of our staff and patients is our highest priority. We are taking the potential spread of COVID-19 in our service area seriously. We are following all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) guidelines as we work with our patients and their families.
Keri is the matriarch of the Mount Evans Family. She oversees every aspect of patient care and nurtures a team of more than 60 clinicians.
While warmly casual and decidedly social, Mount Evans’ foot clinics aren’t pedicure parties. The people who come for the chatter and chop are there because they need to be. Inconveniently situated at the furthest end of the human structure, the feet are simply out of many peoples’ reach.
For 27 years, Wendy has been helping patients and their families adjust to health issues and identifying ways to make their lives easier.
Debbie Schwartz is the first person and the first smile people see when they walk through Mount Evans’ doors. Since 2012, she’s been greeting visitors, clients and staff. When she’s not working at Mount Evans, she gives her time as a volunteer with the Mount Evans Memory Quilters.
