I recently had the pleasure and honor to sit down with a United States Air Force Veteran who served during the Cold War between the Korean and the Vietnam Wars. An important reminder that our Veterans serve both in times of peace and times of war, some see conflict while others stand ready to protect our country when called. And regardless of when or how they serve, they, and their families, make sacrifices for our country. On this Veterans Day, we honor and respect the discipline, service, and sacrifice of all Veterans.

“Having access to Mount Evans in our home is invaluable,” states Celia Feinstein of Conifer. “Yeah, it’s invaluable,” echos Randy Jackson, “To me, Mount Evans means comfort. There are people that have no inkling that this exists or that it’s next door.”

Congratulations to Reed Brandenburg, PT, DPT on becoming a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS)! He joins a prestigious group of 24,000 board-certified clinical specialists recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) that have “demonstrated competency in specialized knowledge and advanced clinical proficiency.”

Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice is hosting a complimentary education program on Charting with a Jury in Mind on Thursday, September 22 at The Vista Golf Course in Golden. The session will be taught by Alan C Horowitz, Esq., RN, Mount Evans’ board member and Of Counsel in the Healthcare practice and a member of the Post-Acute & Long-Term Care industry team for Arnall Golden Gregory.

Helpful. Caring. Thoughtful. Thorough. Patient. Compassionate. Those are the words that come to mind for Joe and Cathy Wise of Morrison when they think of Joe’s care team from Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice.

Howard and Ginny Morton have lived in their own “heaven on earth” for the past 30 years in Pine Junction. “This 10 acres, this house, this view,” explains Howard, “When we moved here in 1980, I promised Ginny I’d buy her a mountain.” Ginny recalls with a laugh, “I’ve always wanted to live in the mountains. I’d only visited them once or twice with my parents, but it just involved me the rest of my life. I’ve got to go live in the mountains, so here we are.”
