Director of Operations
Suzanne has been making a difference in the mountain community through her work with Mount Evans longer than any other member of the Mount Evans family.
“Next spring will be 36 years. I was pregnant with my first child when I started working for Mount Evans. Now I have five grandchildren,” says Suzanne.
Suzanne began her career with Mount Evans as a physical therapist. Her hope was to work close to home and in her community.
“I have lived in Bailey since 1985. I really enjoyed being able to care for my neighbors and friends. I loved helping patients regain their mobility and understand the importance of the exercises they were prescribed.”
Suzanne believed in her patients even when they had little expectation or hope for themselves.
“As I physical therapist, I had the opportunity to help mountain residents who were bed or chair bound and be a part of the team that helped them to walk again,” explains Suzanne. “I loved helping them see what they could achieve and gain the confidence they needed to return to their daily activities safely. I always hoped I was making a difference in their lives.”
The things that made Suzanne a great physical therapist are what make her an even better Director of Operations. Her attention to detail and overarching commitment to patients are what make her an exceptional leader at Mount Evans.
“I evaluate everything we do for our hospice and home health programs from start to finish. I oversee how we take referrals, document our visits and manage the insurance billing in a way that is efficient, streamlined and accurate. It means the world to me to know that every patient is getting great care from our team whether it’s in the field or in the office.”
