Mount Everest Base Camp Trek in Support of Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice

Three Genesee business owners and friends—Davis Linden of Edward Jones, Matt Smith of Genesee Pub & BBQ, and Robert Grevious of Precision Training—will be making the climb to Mount Everest Base Camp this September. The group will use the trip to raise funds to support Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice. Mount Evans brings home health care and hospice care into homes throughout our foothill and mountain communities to care for people during life’s most challenging moments.

Davis Linden, financial advisor for Edward Jones and Mount Evans Board of Directors and Investment Committee Co-Chair, has brought the business owners together to support this cause near to his heart. Davis explains, “Growing up, I was always connected to health care. My father and grandfather were hospital administrators back in small town Iowa, and my mother was a hospice nurse for many years. The impact I’ve seen on my client’s families and the community good done by Mount Evans over the years has been significant and impactful. It’s my honor to support this agency.”

Davis Linden and Robert Grievous have promised to match every dollar you give with one of their own – up to $3,500. That means any donation you give will DOUBLE in value!

Here’s two ways you can support the Mount Everest Base Trek campaign:

  • Dine at Genesee Pub & BBQ on Wednesday, July 17 from 5 pm to 9 pm. Pub Owner Matt Smith has generously agreed to donate all profits from food and beverage sales to Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice. Genesee Pub & BBQ is located at 25948 Genesee Trail Rd, Golden, CO 80401 in Genesee Town Center.
    • As an added incentive to dine at Genesee Pub & BBQ on Wednesday, July 17, Precision Training Owner Robert Grievous has generously donated two, free personal training sessions, valued at $100 each. Anyone who dines that evening and fills in a brief survey will have a chance to win. Two lucky winners will go home with a personal training session.

For more than 40 years, Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice has been an essential resource to our foothill and mountain communities, providing experienced and compassionate in-home health care. Mount Evans provides home health care for those recovering from an illness or injury and hospice care for those nearing the end of their life. The agency also provides caregiver and bereavement support and counseling for anyone in our mountain communities, plus operates Camp Comfort, a grief camp for children ages 6-12 who have lost a loved one.
