For nearly 30 years, Camp Comfort, Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice’s bereavement camp, has helped more than 1,900 grieving children ages 6 to 12 find a path through their grief.
For more than 40 years, Mount Evans has been an essential resource to our foothill and mountain communities, providing experienced and compassionate home health and hospice care.

Where should I park?
Reserved Parking for ADA/Accessible and Priority Parking for Expectant Parents and Families with Strollers will be available at Buchanan Park. Please enter from Evergreen Parkway.
General Parking is available at Castle Court, the former Bergen Meadow Elementary School, and Evergreen Middle School. A free shuttle will run from all lots from 11:30 am til 5:30 pm.
Please be respectful of our community and our neighbors and do not park in business lots or residential areas not designated for event parking.

Are dogs allowed at Oktoberfest?
Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome at Oktoberfest.
Owners assume all liability for their dog’s actions.
What is included with my ticket?
Your general admission ticket includes entrance to Oktoberfest and access to all activities including, the kids village, photo booth, axe throwing, tire flipping, corn hole, and live music.
Some competitions (such as the long-dog derby) have entrance fees.
Food and drink are not included in the price of admission.
What does Oktoberfest Support?
Oktoberfest supports both Camp Comfort and Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice.
Camp Comfort is a free grief camp for children ages 6-12 that have lost a loved one. The program offers weekend, overnight camps in the mountains outside of Georgetown, as well as day camps in Golden. Started in 1995, Camp Comfort has helped more than 1,900 grieving children from across Colorado.
Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice provides home health care, hospice, bereavement assistance, as well as emotional and spiritual needs assistance across our mountain community to residents living in the foothills throughout Jefferson, Clear Creek, Gilpin, and Park counties.

Live Music
Long-Dog Derby
Calling all Dachshunds (or wiener dogs if you prefer)! The long-dog racing is back! All long-dogs regardless of age or size are encouraged to participate.
Registration is required. Dogs must be registered no later than 1:30 on Saturday, September 21 to participate.
The Long-Dog Derby begins at 2 pm at the Grand Stand. Please check in by 1:45 pm.

Volunteer
It takes the support of more than 150 volunteers to put on the Oktoberfest. We depend on our incredible volunteers to make the Oktoberfest a fun, safe, and successful event. If you’d be interested in volunteering either before or at the event, we’d love your help!
Volunteer Training
Volunteer training will take place Tuesday, September 10th at 5pm at Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice (3081 Bergen Peak Drive, Evergreen). The training will be recorded and shared with those unable to make it or who sign-up to volunteer after this date.

Mount Evans provides home health care for those recovering from an illness or injury and hospice care for those nearing the end of their life. The agency also provides caregiver and bereavement support and counseling for anyone in our mountain communities, plus operates Camp Comfort, a grief camp for children ages 6-12 who have lost a loved one.
