Sculpture Evergreen and Mount Evans need your help to add a new sculpture to our community—a sculpture to pay tribute to the numerous individuals and organizations that have donated their time and resources to support our community.
Inspired by Susan Stearns, a dedicated community volunteer and philanthropist whose death in January was a loss to all of us, Sculpture Evergreen is raising funds to install a tree sculpture as a permanent reminder of how a commitment to giving brings joy, hope, and renewal to each of us.
This sculpture by artist Ted Wilson, entitled Tree, has been at the Evergreen Post Office for the past two years as part of the annual Sculpture Walk. It will be dedicated with the new name of Spirit of Giving, and will become a permanent addition to Sculpture Evergreen’s collection.
Its leaves represent the many individuals who give of themselves, its branches represent strong community organizations, and its trunk represents the underlying strength of the community to support each branch and leaf.
We’re honored that this sculpture will soon be located in the new garden by the front entrance of Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice.
