Position Open – Manager of Nursing Services

(Full Time)

We’re looking for a full-time Manager of Nursing Services to lead our clinical nursing team based in Evergreen, Colorado (located in the foothills only 20 miles from downtown Denver).

About the position

This position will:

  • Manage nursing supervisors, nurse, certified nursing assistants and patient care workers as assigned, including hiring, training, competencies, appraisals, rewarding, and retention, as well as discipline and firing.
  • Assist clinicians in setting therapeutic goals and priorities and developing the plan of care.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulations and legal issues concerning home health care and hospice.
  • Work effectively with our interdisciplinary care teams supporting Home Health, Palliative Care, and Hospice, and lead both interdisciplinary and discipline team meetings.
  • Provide on-site supervision as needed to determine staff competency and responds to educational and developmental needs.
  • Effectively manage budget and costs associated with nurse, certified nursing assistants and personal care workers labor, supplies and activities.
  • Participate in Agency quality assurance performance improvement activities.
  • Coordinate employee health program, employee infection control and incident-reporting programs.
  • Ensure Nurse On-Call coverage 24/7.
  • Review chart documentation and counsel staff to ensure quality case management, records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Comply with and model accepted professional standards and principles.
  • Promote and model a compassionate customer service orientation with all organization personnel.
  • Assess and respond to the needs of patients and families in varied settings.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of our care team.
  • Be based out of our office in Evergreen.
  • Travel to homes throughout the foothills of Clear Creek, Gilpin, Jefferson, and Park counties, to provide patient care when needed.
  • Have a salary range of $68,900 – $85,500 and have access to a full benefits package.

About you

You must (required):

  • Maintain an active Nursing license in the State of Colorado.
  • Have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years’ nursing experience in home health and/or hospice care.
  • Have a minimum of one (1) years’ management experience in a health care setting.
  • Be able to demonstrate your ability to provide effective and compassionate nursing care.
  • Be a self-managed leader with strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Have a thorough understanding of nursing management strategies and knowledge of financial management and the foundations of health laws.
  • Provide documentation of full COVID-19 vaccination or documentation requesting a reasonable exemption for medical or religious reasons.
  • Have a valid driver license, good driving record, proof of insurance, and reliable vehicle.
  • Have proof of legal right to work in the United States.

Ideally, you will (preferred):

  • Have a minimum of one (1) years’ management or supervisory experience in home health care, palliative care, or hospice care.
  • Have a minimum of one (1) years’ home health care OASIS experience.
  • Have a passion for end-of-life care.
