It’s that time of year again. Mt. Evans Hospice is looking for your best photographs of our mountain community’s scenery, wildlife, and landmarks to include in the 2009 Seasons of Our Mountains community calendar. Both amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to submit entries for this popular calendar, sponsored by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Evergreen National Bank, and Evergreen Newspapers.
Thirteen photographs will be selected by a community vote—one to represent each month of the year and one to use as the cover image. Photographers are asked to submit their entries as unmounted color 8 x 10 glossy prints of Evergreen, Conifer, and the surrounding communities. Film prints must have the negative included and only 35 mm or larger format film is acceptable. Digital photos must be 300 dpi at an 8x10 size and include a copy of the file on CD in .jpg or .tif format. Black and white, vertical, date-stamped, or digitally manipulated images will not be considered. Each person is limited to five submissions. Entry forms will be available at area merchants, the Mt. Evans Hospice offices, Coldwell Banker offices, and will be printed in future issues of the Canyon Courier, High Timber Times, and Clear Creek Courant. The deadline for submissions is August 25, 2008.
Proceeds of calendar sales will help Mt. Evans care for underinsured or uninsured patients as well as support numerous services provided by Mt. Evans, including grief counseling, transportation for patients to medical appointments, respite care for family caregivers, and Camp Comfort, a bereavement camp for children.
